Davis School District

Davis School District is located in Northern Utah in the heart of Davis County.

Nestled within the Wasatch Region it extends from the vast Rocky Mountains and into a portion of the Great Salt Lake.

You ask why you would like to have your child attend one of the follow High School in Northern Davis County or why would you like to purchase a home in this school district? Let me start by giving you the High schools that are in the Northern Davis county school District and a little about them.


  • Syracuse High – Syracuse High, also known as the “Home of the Titans,” educates approximately 2,000 students which include sophomores, juniors, and seniors. Opening in 2007, the school is set on 52 acres of ground with the building itself covering 385,000 square feet. It features state -of-the art architecture with numerous windows highlighting views of the surrounding area.
  • Clearfield High – is locatedl in Clearfield, Utah, and part of the Davis School District. The Clearfield High School mascot is the peregrine falcon. The school colors are green and white. In 1960-61 students opened the doors of the new Clearfield High School with the first class graduating in the spring of 1963.
  • Northridge High – is a high school which is located in Layton, Utah. It was opened in 1992.  The Knights have been successful in athletics in their fairly young history. From 2001 to 2003 they won three Utah class 5-A state football championships, and finished just short of a fourth consecutive title in 2004, after starting the season 11-0.
  • Layton High – staff includes 4 administrators, 82 teachers, 5 counselors and 45 support staff. 43% of the faculty holds a Master’s Degree and 23.5% are ESL endorsed. The average teaching experience for teachers is 14 years. 1743 students, Layton High has a minority population of 16.5%, and 23.8% of students are economically disadvantaged. Special Education students make up 10% of the student body and the school houses a learning center for students with behavioral disorders.
  • Davis High – isl located in Kaysville, Utah,  The mascot of Davis High School is Dartman. The school was established in 1914 and underwent reconstruction during the 2003-2004 school year. The Darts won the Utah class 5-A state basketball championship in 2002 and the state 5-A football championship in 2004. Davis won back-to-back state championships in hockey. Their first victory came in 2001 with a win over rival Viewmont, the other in 2002 with a win over Brighton. Davis has been the recipient of the Utah High School Activities Association All-Sports Award for the 2004-2005, 2009-2010, 2011-2012, and 2014-2015 school years.

Syracuse High is located in the heart of Syracuse Utah. Most of the kids attending Syracuse live right in the Syracuse boundary

Clearfield High is located in the center of Clearfield. Children attending Clearfield high come from Clinton, Sunset and Clearfield areas.

Northridge High School is located close Hill Air Force Base. Children attending this school are from East Layton, South Weber, small areas of Clinton and Sunset areas.

Prices in this area have stayed pretty average without a large increase, with that being said Northridge has a number of townhouse. There is some new construction in the Layton area but nothing like the surrounding areas to the south.

Layton High School was built on the site of Verdland Park. Verdland Park was a 1943 housing development constructed in Layton to provide housing for civilian workers at Hill Field Air Base and the Naval Supply Depot in Clearfield during World War II. On the average there are around 1777 students attending.

Children attend Layton come from the Layton City area and a small area of Clearfield.

It was established and opened in 1914 and is one of seven comprehensive 5A high schools operated under the direction of the Davis School District. There are an average to 2300 students. Davis high school serves 10-12 grade students in the communities Kaysville, Fruit Heights and North Farmington.

There is a large number of new construction homes in this area with most starting over the $300,000 price range.  Also in this area you will find a number of community places for recreation, along with the new Farmington Junction with shopping, movies, eating and the main hub for the Front Runner track system going into the Ogden and Salt Lake City areas.
